Intellectual Property Policy

1 Introduction

The Site(edoowa.com) treats the Intellectual Property as one of the most important assets that enables us to compete on the worldwide stage. The Site strives to manage the protection of Intellectual Property and risks of infringement seriously.


2 Definition

2.1 Assignment is the school work completed by the student for editing through the Site.

2.2 Content means that any information displayed on the Site by the owner of the Site, including, but not limited to, design, diagrams, images, drawings, logos, graphics, videos, slogans, layouts, appearance, fees, ideas, methods.

2.3 Service Provider Content means that any information displayed on the Site by the third party service provider, including, but not limited to, logos, videos, banners.

2.4 Intellectual Property means that all codes, algorithms, databases, software, content, service provider content, documents, confidential information, copyright, registered or unregistered trademarks, domain name, patent, trade name, and know-how, are intellectual property.


3 The Use of Intellectual Property

3.1 The Use of Assignment

The Site and Editor acknowledge and agree that the student is the owner of the copyright of any assignment submitted through the Site. The Site and Editor will not use it for any purpose rather than the purpose of editing and will not use it in full or part for publication, assignment, and transmission to any third party.

3.2 The Use of Service Provider Content

3.2.1 By making available any Service Provider Content on or through the Site, the Service Provider grants to the Site a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use it on, through, or by means of the Site.

3.2.2 The Service Provider agrees that it is solely responsible for all Service Provider Content that it makes available through the Site. The Service Provider represents and warrants that:

3.2.2.1 It is either the sole and exclusive owner of all Service Provider Content that it makes available through the Site, or that it has all rights, licenses, and consents that are necessary to grant to the Site the rights to use the Service Provider Content under these Terms; and

3.2.2.2 Neither the Service Provider Content nor the use of the Service Provider Content (or any portion thereof) on, through or by means of the Site will infringe or violate intellectual property rights of any third party.

3.2.3 The Site may at its sole discretion remove any Service Provider Content that is in breach of these Terms.

3.3 User Licence

3.3.1 The Site grants the User a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited and revocable license to use the Site for its own personal use only on a mobile device or computer owned or controlled by the User as permitted in accordance with these Terms.

3.3.2 The User understands that the right of Intellectual Property is not sold to the User under these terms. The User must not use the Site in any other way or for any other purpose, apart from local fair dealing legislation. All other uses are prohibited without the Site’s prior written permission.


4 Infringement of Intellectual Property

4.1 The User must not remove, alter or obscure any notices for copyright, trademark or other proprietary right incorporated in or accompanying to the Site.

4.2 The User must not upload, submit, transmit or publish any content that:

4.2.1 Infringes, misappropriates or violates a third party's trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property rights;

4.2.2 Uses, displays, mirrors or frames the Site or any individual element within the Site, including logo, the Site’s name, design, layout, trademark or other Intellectual Property without prior written permission of the Site.


5 Protection of Intellectual Property

5.1 The Intellectual Property developed by the owner of the Site or licensed to the Site are protected by Australian and international laws.

5.2 The Site’s Intellectual Property rights and Service Provider Content may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or part, without the prior written permission of the Site or the applicable Intellectual Property’s or Service Provider Content’s owners.

5.3 All Users accept that any adjustment, amendment and update of these terms under this policy will be effected immediately without prior notice.
